About the Job: 

As a Release Manager in Digital Games at Wizards of the Coast, you will: collaborate with various teams to coordinate release plans and submit global, multiplatform games across console, PC, and mobile platforms; keep collaborators advised of project status and communicate requirements clearly; follow delivery targets and ensure timely release of content; assist in implementing new processes to optimize team coordination; and stay updated on first party submission procedures and correspond with contacts at first parties. 

 

Description: 

  • Track delivery targets for all submission assets and ensure all content is released on schedule. 
  • Work with different teams to develop and validate submission timelines for all releases. 
  • Assemble and review submission packages for accuracy and completion. 
  • Build and configure digital products in first party tools to facilitate development and testing. 
  • Complete game concept submissions and product proposals. 
  • Complete code, metadata and pricing submissions for global release across multiple platforms for full games, demos, betas, pre-orders other product types. 
  • Collaborate with various teams to facilitate the creation of product pages for all platforms in all localized languages. 
  • Handle creation of different SKUS for various regions and game editions across multiple platforms. 
  • Handle all communications with first parties; waivers, resolution of blocking issues, scheduling, requirements. 
  • Schedule and control deployment of digital and boxed products. 
  • Generate game IDs to support development teams. 
  • Facilitate account creation and maintenance for first party portals and global ratings boards. 
  • Build and maintain submission schedules for external partners and internal tracking. 
  • Handle distribution of first party resources including digital vouchers, SDKs, guidelines and other documentation. 
  • Propose and implement process improvements to optimize release management workflows. 
  • Build and support team documentation as needed. 
  • Maintain game submission archive. 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Proven ability to manage successful game releases on console and across PC partners; Steam, Epic, Windows, GOG, etc. 
  • Strong understanding of release management processes and first party requirements. 
  • Ability to effectively multitask and adapt to changing priorities to facilitate successful worldwide, multi-platform game releases. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and recommend solutions to all levels of management. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Extensive knowledge of current gen consoles and PC platforms. 

 

Required Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of industry experience with 3+ years in a release management role. 
  • Experience working at a video game publisher. 

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $127,800
  • Pay Range End: $191,800
