Position Summary

The Operations Specialist is an important addition to the administrative team and will support the plant manager as our solar panel advanced manufacturing facility comes on-line in late 2024. Key Responsibilities :

1. Serve as the face of the company as well as the voice of the employee by being frequently visible in the production area, regularly speaking with all employees to understand any issues/problems and working to resolve any issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.

2. Serve as Project Manager for international visitors’ visas, transportation, lodging, and other needs.

3. Assist HR by serving as the point-of-contact for employees with benefits/payroll questions and working with WorkSmart to resolve them in a timely manner.

4. Support new employees by handling New Hire Orientation as well as assisting in payroll/benefits enrollment, IT set-up, employee ID badge & timeclock set-up, etc.

5. Actively promote our company and our vision to employees & visitors, both in-person and via social media.

6. Assist with Customer Service and/or Materials Management as needed.

7. Take ownership of office support and administrative tasks

8. Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Education: College degree preferred, though not required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of problem-solving, project management, and working with others to resolve with limited supervision.
  • Required Knowledge and Skills: Strong professionalism and leadership skills; Solid communication skills; Energetic, with a strong team-building motivation; Empathetic, with good listening skills and a bias for resolving issues; Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks under time constraints and with limited Supervision; Understand and support the Company’s vision; Works well with others, even in difficult situations; Focuses on solving problems rather than placing blame; Conducts themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the company.
