Part-Time Lumber Yard/Delivery Driver
As a Part-Time Lumber Yard/Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations by assisting with the organization and maintenance of our lumber yard, as well as ensuring the safe and timely delivery of materials to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for customer service.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Assist with the loading and unloading of lumber and building materials at the yard.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment in the lumber yard, ensuring materials are stored correctly.
- Deliver lumber and building materials to customer locations in a timely manner.
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and operating procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in delivery driving; knowledge of local routes is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and engage in physical labor.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication.
- Basic knowledge of lumber and building materials.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
