Job Description

Full-Time Nanny – Norfolk, CT 

Looking for local candidates - relocation stipend provided for the right candidate

A warm and dynamic family in Norfolk, CT is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their toddler (turning 2 in September) and infant (born March 26). The ideal candidate is experienced, flexible, organized, and travel-ready. Must be comfortable with two medium-to-large non-shedding dogs .

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $30–$35/hour
  • Paid weekly via family’s payroll service
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance offered with employee contribution

  • Two weeks paid vacation (one week chosen by the family)
  • Five paid sick days per year

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9 AM– 5 PM,
  • Flexibility available for the right candidate

Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive care for both children, including feeding, naps, and daily routines
  • Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities
  • Light housekeeping related to the children (laundry, toy and play area tidying)
  • Clean up after meals and snacks prepared for the children
  • Light meal prep for the toddler; bonus if able to prepare meals for the family
  • Coordinate and attend outings or playdates
  • Support the mother and newborn during the day; engage both children in the morning

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years professional childcare experience
  • 3–5 professional childcare references
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be passport-ready and willing to travel frequently,
  • Valid driver's license (vehicle not provided, potential mileage/gas reimbursement)
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Infant experience required
  • Up-to-date on standard vaccinations (Tdap, Covid, Flu)
  • Comfortable with dogs
  • Highly organized and adaptable to changing schedules
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Bonus if able to swim
  • Ideal candidate is warm, calm, confident with boundaries, and blends seamlessly into a busy household
