Financials Associate (Workday) - Houston - up to $140k

On behalf of our financial services client based in Houston, TX, we are seeking a Workday Associate with hands-on experience in Workday Financials reporting. This is a critical hire within the finance systems team, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and has a strong eye for financial reporting accuracy and optimization.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite per week in the Houston office. Candidates must be based locally or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday Financials reports and dashboards
• Build calculated fields and advanced custom reports for various Workday Financials modules
• Finance-related tasks as necessary (including travel expenses)
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Systems teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Ensure data quality and consistency across all Workday Financials reports
• Support audits, compliance initiatives, and data governance efforts
• Stay informed of Workday Financials releases and enhancements to maximize platform capabilities

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience with Workday Financials, including hands-on reporting expertise
• Strong experience with Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and Composite Reports
• Functional knowledge of key Workday Financials modules (e.g., GL, AP, Procurement, or FP&A)
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
• Prior experience in a financial services or highly regulated industry preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
