Job Description

Construction Project Manager
Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $115k - $120k

Konik is partnering with a general contractor in the west metro that is seeking to add a Project Manager to their team. Our client works on commercial construction projects including renovations, interior build-outs, and ground-up developments.

Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ranging from small-scale renovations to larger, multi-million-dollar builds
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work to ensure alignment with client expectations and company standards
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate project execution and resolve any issues that arise
  • Manage the submittal process, ensuring that all required documentation is properly reviewed and approved before submission to design teams
  • Monitor construction progress and conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with specifications, safety regulations, and project timelines
  • Prepare cost estimates and assist in project pricing, ensuring appropriate margins and feasibility
  • Review subcontractor bids and scopes to confirm accuracy and alignment with project needs
  • Lead project meetings, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and ensure clear and professional communication at all stages of the project

Construction Project Manager Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of construction management experience, with at least 2-3 years in a project engineering or similar role involving detailed project documentation and coordination
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, including pre-construction, budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management
  • Experience working as a general contractor or within trade specialties such as framing, drywall, mechanical, electrical, or plumbing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong client relationships and ensure clarity in project documentation
