About the Position:

The company is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to oversee and manage both ground-up and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically working on K-12 schools and public works projects. This role requires a strong leader with excellent project management skills, the ability to coordinate multiple teams, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction to completion.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans while ensuring adherence to scope, quality, and safety standards.
  • Lead project teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and consultants, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
  • Review and interpret construction documents, contracts, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, especially for public works and school projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality control.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee risk management and problem resolution, proactively addressing potential project delays or cost overruns.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong portfolio of K-12 schools and public works projects.
  • Proven ability to manage both ground-up and renovation projects from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with contract negotiation, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with public bidding processes and prevailing wage requirements.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
