Job Description

Job Summary:

As an Area Manager in the construction industry, you will play a pivotal role in leading and guiding Construction Managers with multiple construction projects within your designated area. Your exemplary leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction processes, and ability to collaborate with Designers and CE management team will ensure the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and adhering to the highest standards of quality control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are executed according to the established schedule and within the allocated budget.
  • Collaborate with construction managers, community PMs, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication, coordination, and project progression.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to project teams.
  • Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures to promote excellence in workmanship and compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate Procore inspection activities, ensuring that all necessary documentation and reports are accurately entered. Daily Logs, Photos, Forms, Checklist
  • Conduct milestone walks at the pre-designated schedule which matches agreed upon payment terms, thoroughly examining completed work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and designers' intent.
  • Oversee and manage the accuracy of collections, verifying that each CM and Designer have communicated ensuring that all invoices are submitted promptly, payments are received in a timely manner, and any billing discrepancies are promptly addressed.
  • Regularly review project budgets and financial reports, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, conducting regular meetings to address any concerns, provide progress updates, and ensure we are performing to the CE standard.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree construction management, civil engineering, architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction project management or a related role. This experience should include managing the planning, design, and construction phases of building projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Procore and CRM software.

Team Leadership: As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of construction professionals. This involves providing clear guidance, coaching, and support to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Budget and Resource Management: You will work closely with the operations management team to develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and providing recommendations to optimize project profitability .
